Welcome to Liz Vigoda Pottery. You are invited to view the artist-designed
dinnerware, serving pieces, and accessories. Each piece is  handmade of
durable, lead-free stoneware. They are individually hand painted, with many incorporating
permanent transfer images of Audubon birds, antique botanical prints or
various whimsical and historical pictures. The  variations
give them a wonderfully lively feel unavailable in commercial ceramics.

The 2012 Kids Clay Camp
Contact Liz to reserve a space for your child

If you are interested in having your child take part, please contact me and let me know what dates during the summer your child is available and I will try to accommodate you .

Announcing the 2012 KIDS CLAY CAMP for  ages 8-13 (exceptions made for younger and older on a case-by-case basis)
I am planning two one-week sessions of KIDS CLAY CAMP to run for a total of 5 days each .The hours are 1:30-4:30 each day.  They will meet four times from Wednesday through Saturday from 1:30-4:30

For the 5th day of the session we will schedule a day on an upcoming weekend (to be agreed upon collectively) to glaze the pots we've made. (The reason for this scheduling is that the pots have to have time to dry and be fired before they can be glazed and decorated.  After they are glazed, they will be fired again to melt the glaze. And approximately a week later, you can pick up the finished pieces at your convenience) On the 4th day of each session we will make a field trip to Sage College Albany to do a Raku firing (an exciting Japanese style fast firing with smoke and wonderful serendipitous glaze effects) Here is a link that describes the process:

(The kids will not be doing the pyromaniacal parts of the process)
The cost is $165 for the 5 days (includes materials) The camps will be limited to 6 kids each. You may sign up for one or both sessions. If you have any questions, or would like to register your child, please feel free to call me at 439-4457 or email me at  lizvigoda@verizon.net

The dates for this summer's sessions have not been set yet.
If you are interested in having your child take part, please contact.
