Hello my Homeschooling Friends,
I have not formulated plans for homeschool classes at this time. If you are interested in joining a class and have a request for a particular cultural or historical subject, or a class aimed at a particular age group and/or technique, I am happy to entertain your suggestions.
Otherwise, check back here for the upcoming class descriptions.
Thanks! I look forward to seeing you!!!I

A VERY WARM HELLO to all my old Homeschooling friends and to all the new families
I have yet to meet. In case you hadn’t heard, I had to leave my Albany studio due to the sale of the building. I have relocated the studio to my home and, although it is a much, much smaller space, it is cozy and functional. Because of the smaller space classes will be limited to 5 students. Parents may come observe, help, or sit upstairs in the living room and relax during class. I am also close to a nice café with WIFI and to Delaware Plaza.

If you are interested in one of the classes posted here, but it doesn’t fit into your schedule, please contact me and I will see if I can accommodate you.

The studio is located at 9 Keith Rd. Delmar, NY 12054. Please refer to the map button on your left for maps and driving directions.

The classes meet once a week for 5 weeks for 2 hours. Tuition is $100/child with a second sibling at $80 . There is a $10 materials charge per student. (except for Clay Play for Munchkins which is 1 hour and $65 per student)

For questions and/or more information please email lizvigoda@verizon.net or call 439-4457

In addition to the classed listed here, classes can be designed to
coordinate with your kids' special interests with regard to a
particular historical era or culture.
Having a birthday? Plan a clay-making party on a theme of your choice.

The following is a letter from Brooke Millington who took part in my summer Clay Camp  for Kids 2004, along with her boys, Hopper and Zephyr.

"I was introduced to Liz Vigoda and her Cold Mountain Pottery Studio
classes by Madelyn Collins who I met through The Alternative Learning Center
(TALC) in Chatham, NY. Liz's 5-day class was extremely fun and fruitful. I
participated alongside Hopper, 11, and Zephyr, 7, and several other kids. We all
had a blast!
Liz is gentle, perceptive, friendly, a wealth of historical information
relating to clay, in addition to being a very experienced, clear, articulate,
and humorous teacher. Each student I watched in the class was able to get out
of the lessons their own learnings, in part, due to Liz's direct and flexible
manner.
Hopper and Zephyr and I are really looking forward to doing a lot more
work with Liz in her pottery classes. In our family, as we are planning to
focus on New York State and the Capital Region in our history and geography for a
while, I was wondering whether any other homeschoolers would be interested in
getting together with Liz to create an interdisciplinary learning opportunity
that would involve these topics (...or any others, for that matter! We are
raring to go.) "
